HOW THE ELIMINATOR WORKS
All riders will go through a qualification with the top 32 men and the top 12 women advancing to the finals.
Practice
All riders will have access to the course for training.
Qualification
The qualification format is a single lap of the course in an individual time trial format, with the fastest riders advancing to the finals.
The time-trial results will also be used to determine the seeding start grid for 50km, 25km and the 100km events excluding XCM Champs race.
The heats & finals
In the finals, riders will be split into heats of four, where you’ll go head-to-head in a two lap heat. At the end of each heat the two fastest riders progress to the next round and the two slowest riders are ‘eliminated’, until there are only four riders left to race the final.
