Twenty Years of Believing

Whaka100 celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, but Belinda Farmer's chapter in its story began at the end of 2013, when she and husband Tim took over the event.

As co-owner of Nduro Events, Belinda has since helped guide Whaka100 from a growing local mountain bike race into New Zealand's Premier MTB Marathon and an annual Labour Weekend tradition that attracts more than 3,000 riders.

One of the first goals she remembers writing down seemed almost impossible at the time, 1,000 riders.
