The 100, 50 and 25km event starts are managed using a start wave system. With the exception of the 25km event, all riders must select a start wave during the registration process. On event day, all riders are to be assembled in their start waves as outlined on the back of the number plate.
HOW DO YOU START AT THE FRONT OF YOUR WAVE?
All riders who wish to be in the front of their start waves must enter and race the Isuzu Rotorua Shootout Time Trail on Saturday. The fastest riders in each start wave will then be awarded seeding in the front of their wave for the main race on Sunday.
