The Stan's 25km event is for mountain bikers of all abilities and takes in the super fun, world-famous trails of Rotorua.
The course is set a mixture of grade 2-3 trails with short climbs, flowing trails and a small about of forestry roads set among some of the worlds best single track. |

TRAIL GRADING
The course requires a low to moderate-level of technical skill with the majority of the stages being on grades 1-3 and a touch of easier grade 4. trails - all features rollable. Navigation skills are not needed with our well-marked route. |

Bike Patrol
Our dedicated bike patrol team will be on course to offer support between designated areas. Patrol members move through the course to provide guidance and encouragement, particularly during challenging sections like steep climbs and technical descents. Equipped with essential tools, pumps, and nutrition, they are prepared to help riders navigate any difficulties they encounter.

WATER STATION

To ensure a safe, fair event and an optimal on-course experience, participants are organised into starting groups chosen at the time of entry. Please select your start wave carefully, based on your realistic ability level. You can estimate your finish time with our average speed calculator. Start waves can be adjusted until 31 August 2025.

Finisher Medals & awards
All finishers will receive a 25km finishers' medal.
Prize giving is held at a set time as per the schedule. Podium medals & non-monetary prizes will be awarded to the overall top three male and female award categories athletes.

transport
The Stan's 25km event is a point to point event starting at the other side of the forest at the Te Putake o Tawa Car park with riders riding the course back to the finishline at the main venue in Waipa.
Shuttle: We recommend adding a shuttle from the finish venue to the startline.

Bag drop: There will be a bag drop service for you to leave any belongings at the start line. Must be a sealed bag (for example a backpack) and no bigger than a duffle bag.

- Please meet at Waipa MTB Carpark shuttle pick up 15 minutes before your selected time (7:20am 0r 8:10am).
Other transport options:
- Carpool with your mates. Leave one car at the finish line, and drive one to the start line.
- Get dropped off at the 25km start line by a family member or friend.
