ENTRY FEE PROTECTION COVER (EFP)
Entry Fee Protection Cover (EFP) is an additional product offered by the event to the participant. If at the time of entry the participant chooses to purchase EFP, the outlined amount below will be refunded if the participant suffers an injury, medical emergency or bereavement that prevents their involvement in the event.  The EFP can only be purchased at the initial time of entry.

COST OF COVER
EFP Cover fee is an optional add on product to an entry fee,
​the cost of the cover is:

• 100 Miler $75
• 100km $30
• 50km $20
• 25km $15

REFUNDABLE AMOUNT
If the withdrawing participant has purchase the Entry Fee Protection Cover, the entry fee will be refunded at the following amount:

• Until 30 June, 100% refund of entry fee
• From 1 July until 30 September, 80% refund of entry fee
• From 1 October until 23 October, 70% refund of entry fee

WHAT IS COVERED

• Injury, prior to the event
• Medical emergency 
• Bereavement

An injury is when there is actual damage to your body, this includes:

• Sprains or strains - such as the ankle, back, knee or shoulder sprains
• Wounds - cut, broken or bruised skin
• Fractures
• Dislocations
• Concussion
• Burns

Medical Emergency
A medical emergency is a sudden injury or serious illness that, if not treated right away, could cause death or serious harm to you.

Bereavement
Bereavement is when an immediate family member listed below has suddenly passed away.

• Partner or their partner’s parent    
• Parent
• Child
• Sibling
• Grandparent
• Grandchild, or their partner’s parent   

WHAT ISN'T COVERED
Injuries not listed by the Entry Fee Protection plan

• Undiagnosed illness, chronic illness/sickness or a contagious disease
• Stress or emotional issues
• Injuries that happened over time
• Injuries that happened during the event
• Sun or wind burn

Other exclusions of the Entry Fee Protection product

• General lack of fitness or change of mind
• Pregnancy  
• A government or official authority; directive, restriction, prohibition, detention 
• A government or official authority; border closure, requirement or personal item seizure declaration or epidemic or pandemic restrictions such as lockdown 
• Ancillary costs of entry such as credit card/service fees, entry change fees, merchandise purchases
