About the Whaka 100
The Whaka 100 is renowned as the toughest mountain biking event in the Southern Hemisphere. The event attracts over 3,000 daily visitors, including participants, their supporters, and fans of the sport.
The event has multiple courses from beginner and kid’s events, to enthusiast 25 and 50km, and the elite 100 and 160km events. There are several supporting events which build on the family-friendly bike festival vibe, including the Whaka Eliminator.
Run by Nduro events since 2014, the event has gone from a single-day 250-person event, to a weekend spectacle drawing visitors from across New Zealand and internationally.
The audience
The customers range from the fitness fanatic to the weekend foodie. Many of the participating riders will have supporting friends and family who are also riders, with disposable incomes ready to connect their taste buds with your tasty bites.
The food offer & service
Our aim is to provide our fans with only the best food on offer in our food truck section. Each vendor will have a cuisine that will not clash with the other vendor, with the exception of sides such as salads and fries.
